James Rose was a married father of three for many years but left his wife four years ago to live out his true personality.
Having never felt comfortable as a man, James became Ruth and started living as a woman, receiving hormone therapy. In a surprising decision, Ruth elected to have gender realignment surgery to complete the transformation at 81 years old making her the oldest person to ever undergo the procedure.
